Flying low, just showing off it seems, sun-lit wings aglow
Today’s Tale in ten words
Xmas Day lunch at the coast – cold meats and bread, champagne and a festive mince pie – probably made us quite attractive to the West Bay population of seagulls. Not many picnickers at this time of year! But this seagull seemed to be totally absorbed in his flight techniques, enjoying the thrill of the air currents and warmth of the sun on his wings, and that put me in mind of Jonathan Livingstone Seagull – must dig that out for another read some time – he could so easily have been putting on a display just for us. In any event, I certainly appreciated it. I thank you Mr Seagull (not discounting it may have been a Ms but I would never know for sure).
