Tell it to the Bees is a site to share both found and personal stories.
I’m a Story Gatherer and Story Maker and aim to use stories to discover new or re-found directions in my own life and encourage fresh, new arisings wherever they occur. I’m also a beekeeper and there is a tradition in beekeeping to talk to the bees and tell them of important events, and especially of a death in the family. At the funeral of a beekeeper, the hives would often be covered or their orientation changed but above all the bees were to be told of the loss of their keeper. It’s a wonderful thing to sit beside a working hive and ponder – the gentle buzz can be very soothing and mesmeric. It seems right to share news with them … and I do.
By blogging, sharing and gathering stories, there will come a weave of moments and magic that can create new stories and re-find or release lost personal threads which can encourage and make new things possible. This is a personal weave but none of us is an island so I hope to discover and share threads along the way.
